Security Summary 4/3-4/9

Friday, April 3rd

4:04 p.m. Safety Hazard Stokes Hall

Staff member reported a burning odor in Stokes. Trash cans, mulch areas and building ashcans all check normal.

11:19 p.m. Safety Hazard 35 Hannum Drive

A student reported an odor of gas coming from the kitchen area of an apartment at 35 Hannum Drive. Facilities responded with a gas meter; no trace of gas was detected.

 

Saturday, April 4th     

12:55 a.m. Alcohol Illness Lloyd Hall

A student contacted Campus Safety regarding an ill person in Lloyd Hall. Upon arrival, a Bryn Mawr College student was found semi-conscious and periodically vomiting. Student transported to Bryn Mawr ER by Haverford EMS. Bryn Mawr College Campus Safety notified.

 11:36 p.m. Noise Complaint 19 Hannum Drive

Campus Safety received a complaint of a loud party at HCA 19. Upon arrival, Campus Safety found a large number of people both inside and outside the building. The party was shut down due to safety concerns. The Graduate Assistant was notified.

 

Sunday, April 5th

12:26 a.m. Alcohol Illness Hannum Drive

Campus Safety was notified of a suspicious person pacing back and forth and screaming in the rear of HCA 35. Officers found an intoxicated student; the student was allowed to remain on campus after speaking with the Nurse on Call.

12:51 a.m. Noise Complaint Leeds Hall

Campus Safety responded to a noise complaint at Leeds. Campus Safety advised parties to keep down the noise.

02:50 p.m. Institutional Vandalism Barclay Beach

Officer observed a students’ vehicle parked on Barclay Beach and asked student to move vehicle. Student left the area at a high rate of speed, causing moderate damage to the turf.

 

Monday, April 6th

12:41 a.m. Safety Hazard Hannum Drive

A student requested to speak with the Nurse on Call. It was determined that the student felt ill possibly due to the gas stove being left on. The apartment was ventilated and temporarily evacuated. Students were eventually allowed to reenter the apartment.

 

Wednesday, April 8th

8:56 a.m. Suspicious Person HCA Trail

A student reported that a male gave her a strange look as he rode his bike past her on the HCA Trail. Individual left campus before officers’ arrival.
