Security Summary 10/31-11/6

Saturday, November 1st

11:36 p.m. Vandalism Founders Hall

Unknown person(s) kicked a hole in the wall in the basement of Founders Hall. A window was also discovered broken in the Great Hall. No suspects at this time.

 

Sunday, November 2nd

12:01 a.m. Unauthorized Use GIAC

Students were discovered drinking alcohol inside fencing room at the GIAC. Two students were identified by Campus Safety; others fled the area.

1:27 a.m. Assault Leeds Hall

Two campus visitors were assaulted outside Leeds Hall, section 1. One individual was transported by ambulance to University of Pennsylvania Hospital for treatment. Second individual was transported by ambulance to Bryn Mawr Hospital for treatment. Investigation ongoing.

1:58 a.m. Suspicious Persons Lunt Hall

A report was received of two unwanted individuals inside Lunt Hall. The individuals were gone upon the arrival of Campus Safety. Investigation ongoing.

11:26 p.m. Property Damage Drinker

An alarm activation was received for Drinker House while a large party was in progress. It was discovered that a sprinkler head had been damaged by unknown person(s). A large portion of the first floor was flooded. Party shut down. The water main was shut off by officers. Repairs were made to the sprinkler system by 0115 hrs. Housekeeping supervisor responded to clean up the water.

 

Tuesday, November 4th

7:15 p.m. Fire Drills Campus

Fire Exit Drills conducted at the following locations:

Ira Reed House, Tritton Hall, Kim Hall, Drinker House, Gummere Hall, Lloyd Hall, Barclay Hall and Leeds Hall

10:50 p.m. Noise Complaint Kim Hall

A noise complaint was received for the second floor of Kim Hall. Officers discovered a party in progress and asked the hosts to lower the noise.

 

Wednesday, November 5th

6:50 p.m. Theft GIAC

Student reported a theft of five martial arts prop knives from the storage room inside the Swan Multi-Purpose Room 201A. The knives were inside of an Under Armor bag. No police report at this time.

Thursday, November 6th

6:35 a.m. Power Failure Campus Wide

A brief campus wide power failure was experienced. All notification were made and power has been restored.
