Security Summary 10/30 – 11/5

Saturday, October 30th

1:16 a.m. Noise Complaint, North Dorms

A caller reported that the noise level in and around the North Dorms was too loud. An officer was sent to the location and found music coming from the Lunt Café. The music was at a reasonable level. 

5:07 p.m. Disturbance, Walton Field

Facilities Director reported non-students throwing beer on the track during the soccer game. Subjects had left on foot prior to the arrival of Campus Safety.

10:37 p.m. Suspicious Person, Drinker

A student reported a suspicious person at Drinker House. The student had called 20 minutes after the subject had left the area. The subject later returned to Drinker and was stopped by Campus Safety. He was identified as an alum.

11:18 p.m. Noise Complaint, On Campus

A complaint of excessive noise was received from Haverford and Lower Merion Police Departments, as well as one outside resident. No specific location, just campus wide. Areas were checked; no specific location discovered.

 

Sunday, November 1st

12:58 a.m. Vandalism, Founders Hall

Damage was discovered to the ceiling in the second floor Common Room at Founders Hall. The students involved were identified.

1:08 a.m. Alcohol Related Illness, Founders Hall

Officer requested for the Nurse on Call to be contacted, after contact with a student who had been drinking at Founders Hall. The nurse cleared the student to remain on campus. The Graduate Assistant was notified. 

1:12 a.m. Alcohol Related Illness, Founders Hall

A student suffering from an alcohol related illness at Founders Hall was transported by ambulance to Bryn Mawr Hospital. The Nurse on Call and Graduate Assistant were notified.

9:09 p.m. Burglary, Gummere Hall

A student reported that someone stole $50.00 from her wallet that was in her closet drawer. The incident occurred at some point in the previous three or four days. No police report filed at this time.

 

Monday, November 2nd

12:25 a.m. Vandalism, Founders Hall

Officer reported that the towel dispenser located in the ground floor men’s restroom of Founders was found ripped out of the wall.

3:02 p.m. Unauthorized Use, Walton Track

A Grounds employee reported that several individuals had hopped the fence at the Walton Track to run. Officers responded but no one was on the track at the time.

3:08 p.m. Panic Alarm, Stokes Hall

An emergency phone call was received from the Stokes Hall elevator. Officers reported that no one was in the elevator and that it looked ok.

 

Tuesday, November 3rd

6:21 p.m. Personal Illness, Swan Field

A student athlete was transported from Swan Field to Bryn Mawr Hospital by ambulance after having an asthma attack.

 

Wednesday, November 4th

7:22 p.m. Fire Exit Drills, Dorms

Fire Exit Drills were conducted at Comfort, Lunt, Jones, Lloyd, Barclay, and Leeds.

9:36 p.m. Personal Illness, Fitness Center

The Fitness Center monitor reported a student is having a seizure in the Fitness Center. Penn Starr ambulance was notified, and the student was transported to Bryn Mawr Hospital by ambulance.
