Friday, April 5th, 3:00 p.m.

Emergency Notification Test Campus Safety

A test was conducted of the campus emergency notification system. Test was performed successfully.

9:50 p.m. Noise Complaint 19 Hannum Drive

An anonymous caller reported loud music coming from 19 Hannum Drive. A student was advised to turn down the music and he complied.

1:38 a.m. Suspicious Activity Skater Shack

Officer observed smoke coming from chimney at the Skater Shack. Officers found no one in the building, but found a fire lit in fireplace and one window wide open. The area was secured and rechecked throughout the night.

Saturday April 6th, 11:34 p.m.

Alcohol Illness Gummere Hall

A report was received of a student who was experiencing an alcohol related illness at Gummere Hall. The student was transported to Bryn Mawr Hospital by ambulance. The Nurse on Call and Graduate Assistant were notified.

 12:18 a.m. Alcohol Illness Gummere Hall

A report was received of a student who was experiencing an alcohol related illness at Gummere Hall. The Nurse on Call was notified and allowed student to remain on campus. At 02:20, student was checked on per request of another student. Ill student was transported to Bryn Mawr Hospital by Campus Safety per the nurse’s request. The Graduate Assistant was notified.

1:34 a.m. Disturbance Gummere Hall

A student observed a fellow student punching an unknown male at Gummere Hall. The student was identified, but the identity of the other male involved remains unknown. The Graduate Assistant was notified.

Sunday, April 7th, 8:11 p.m.

Assist Police Campus Wide

Lower Merion Police notified Campus Safety they were on campus searching for a suspect involved in a theft At the CVS on Lancaster Ave. It was unknown if the suspect had entered campus, and was not believed to be armed. The suspect was not located on campus.

9:18 p.m. Theft from Buildings Gummere Hall

A student reported his jacket was stolen from the basement of Gummere Hall. No police report filed at this time. Investigation ongoing.

Bicycle Theft 15 Hannum Drive

Tuesday, April 9th, 3:33 p.m.

Suspicious Person Founders Hall

A report was received of a suspicious male in the area of Founders. The subject was walking up to students and talking to them. He then went towards Barclay Hall and continued talking to other groups of students. Check of the area was made, but the individual could not be located.

Wednesday, April 10th, 11:54 a.m.

Suspicious Person Leeds Hall

Staff member reported a suspicious individual near Leeds Hall. Officers checked Leeds and the surrounding areas, but the individual could not be located.

 Thursday, April 11th, 6:53 p.m.

Theft GIAC

A student reported that her lap top was stolen from the 1st floor Women’s Locker Room. A report was filed with the Haverford Township Police Department. Investigation ongoing.

Friday, April 12th, 9:26 p.m.

Noise Complaint 11 Hannum Drive

Resident of 11 Hannum Drive reported loud noise from an apartment in the building. Officer responded and asked students to lower the volume on their television and they complied.

11:52 p.m. Noise Complaint Lunt Hall

Resident reported loud music coming from the basement of Lunt. Officers responded and ascertained the music was within acceptable limits for a sanctioned party.

Saturday, April 13th, 8:46 p.m.

Disturbance 11 Hannum Drive

Student reported ongoing harassment by other students at 11 Hannum Drive. Information forwarded to Housing and Dean’s Office.

Sunday, April 14th, 1:48 a.m.

Institutional Vandalism Leeds Hall

Officer on patrol observed a female slamming an exterior door into the wall numerous times and fled upon observing officer. Damage to wood trim surrounding glass panels.

7:09 p.m. Property Damage 42 Hannum Drive

A student accidentally threw a bocce ball through the upper part of a bedroom window at 42 Hannum Dr. Facilities responded and covered window.

Monday, April 15th, 8:46 p.m.

Suspicious Person Magill Library

A staff member at Magill Library reported that a female visitor had asked a student if she could borrow her laptop computer. The student had let her use the computer the previous night. However, she felt uncomfortable with the woman asking again to use her computer. The visitor had left the building before officers arrived.

Tuesday, April 16th, 12:08 p.m.

Personal Injury College Lane

While running on the Nature Trail, a visitor became dizzy, sat down on a rock, and then fell, striking her head on the ground. Lower Merion EMS responded and visitor declined further treatment.

11:47 p.m. Suspicious Activity 808 Ardmore Ave

Caller stated that a baby was crying in 808 Ardmore Ave. Officers found four month old girl crying for her father. Baby was OK.

Wednesday, April 17th, 4:16 p.m.

Assist Police College Lane

Haverford Township Police requested that Campus Safety officers meet them at the Duck Pond for a found child. Child was identified and reunited with his parents.

4:46 p.m. Suspicious Activity 38 Hannum Drive

Visitor reported that she observed two marijuana plants in a window at 38 Hannum Drive. Officer checked the apartment from the exterior and reported that no plants were visible in the window.

7:56 p.m. Fire Hazard INSC

A student reported the odor of gas in a room at INSC. The Safety Director responded. No odor of gas was detected.

Thursday, April 18th, 9:06 p.m.

Noise Complaint 11 Hannum Drive

Officers responded to a report of loud music. Residents were advised of complaint and music was lowered.

9:42 p.m. Notification By Others Sharpless Hall

Professor reports that a student came in contact with a chemical substance while working in a lab. Safety Coordinator was contacted and advised student to seek evaluation and treatment at Bryn Mawr Hospital. Student stated that she would follow advice of Safety Coordinator. Dean on Call and Nurse on Call contacted.
