Haverford’s students and staff were greeted by a weather announcement from Campus Safety on Wednesday, February 17, apprising them of the snowstorm that was expected to bring in 5 to 8 inches of snow throughout the day.
As predicted, Thursday was a weather day where all nonessential personnel was advised against coming to campus. The snow resulted in the cancellation of several on-campus activities, including COVID-19 testing at Founders Hall.
Once the storm subsided and campus operations returned to normal, plenty of Fords made the most of the largest snowfall this area has received in three winters.
The chilly week was bookended with a “Super Fun Sledding Event” on a sunny afternoon on the hill behind Comfort Hall, organized by the North Dorm Residential Student Liaisons: Alex Rebhun ’23 and Rasaaq Shittu ’23.
