Security Summary 9/18 – 9/24

Friday, September 18th            

6:15 p.m. Personal Illness, Nature Trail

A member of the La Salle College Cross Country Team had a medical emergency on the Nature Trail near the gardens. An ambulance transported the ill student to the hospital. The Graduate Assistant on Call and La Salle Campus Safety notified.

1:07 a.m. Trespass, Faculty Pool

Officer observed several individuals in the Faculty Pool. Individuals were identified as Haverford students.

  

Saturday, September 19th     

9:40 a.m. Unauthorized Use, Lunt Hall

Five band members who had performed the night before at Lunt Café were found sleeping on the floor in the basement of Lunt. They were awoken by Campus Safety and left the building.

8:08 p.m. Noise Complaint, Campus

A resident of County Line Road reported loud noise and band music coming from campus. An officer spoke to the Quaker Bouncers who stated that the band would stop at 9 p.m. The complainant was advised.

11:22 p.m. Disturbance, Drinker

An anonymous caller notified Campus Safety of a possible fight occurring in the rear of Drinker. Officers responded and found no fight in progress. They were told that no fight had occurred; just students yelling.

 

Sunday, September 20th

1:55 p.m. Investigate Auto, Hall Drive

A student reported a subject slumped over the wheel of a car parked near the Field House on Hall Drive. The subject was gone upon the arrival of Campus Safety.

5:57 p.m. Personal Illness, Dining Center

A student lost consciousness in the Sunken Lounge of the Dining Center. He was conscious and alert upon the arrival of officers. An ambulance responded, but the student refused transport to the hospital. Nurse on Call and Graduate Assistant on Call notified.

 

Monday, September 21st

3:51 p.m. Suspicious Person, Walton Road

A staff member reported that an individual asked her if there were any dorms on campus; she felt that was odd. Officers checked the area and did not locate the person. A second call was later received for the individual; officers located him near Stokes Hall. Haverford Township police responded and escorted the male from campus.

5:20 p.m. Bicycle Theft, North Dorms

A student reported his unlocked bicycle taken from the back rack in the quad area of the North Dorms some time over the weekend. No police report at this time.

 

Tuesday, September 22nd

1:51 p.m. Suspicious Person, Facilities

A staff member from the Facilities Department reported a suspicious female claiming to be a member of the Haverford College tennis team. She was soliciting donations for the team. The female is not affiliated with the college.

 

Wednesday, September 23rd

7:13 a.m. Animal Complaint, Featherbed Fields

Grounds reported approximately 10 unleashed dogs running around on the field area behind the baseball diamond. Officers responded and advised the owners, who then left campus.

12:31 p.m. Unauthorized Use, Duck Pond

A staff member reported a group of juveniles fishing at the rear of the Duck Pond. Campus Safety advised the juveniles that fishing is prohibited. Juveniles exited the area without incident.

4:59 p.m. Personal Illness, Lloyd Hall

Campus Safety received a report that a student was suffering from a medical condition at Lloyd 62. Student transported to Bryn Mawr Hospital by ambulance.

11:21 p.m. Suspicious Persons, 800 Ardmore Ave

A report was received of two teenaged males loitering in area of bicycle racks near 800 Ardmore Avenue. Area checked; unable to locate anyone in the area. Bicycle check okay.

11:32 p.m. Suspicious Person, Yarnall Footbridge

A report was received of a suspicious person crouching in the area of the Yarnall Bridge. Officers stopped subject and Haverford Police and EMS responded. Subject was not affiliated with the college and was transported to a Mental Health Crisis Center by Police and EMS.

 

Thursday, September 24th

5:07 p.m. Suspicious Person, James House

A report was received of a suspicious person outside of James House. The male was stopped and identified at the north end of the HCA Trail. Haverford Township Police responded and a verbal trespass warning was issued.
