Security Summary 9/11 – 9/17

Saturday, September 12th     

12:04 a.m. Trespass, Faculty Pool

Officer observed several individuals in the Faculty Pool. The group fled the area, leaving behind several personal items. Personal items were brought back to the Campus Safety Office.

1:07 a.m. Trespass, Faculty Pool

Officer observed several individuals in the Faculty Pool. Individuals were identified as Haverford students.

 

Sunday, September 13th

12:00 a.m. Personal Injury, Gummere Hall

A Bryn Mawr College student fell in the third section stairwell at Gummere Hall. EMS cleared student to return to Bryn Mawr via the Blue Bus. Bryn Mawr College Campus Safety notified.

12:12 a.m. Vandalism, Kim Hall

A first floor Kim Hall interior patio door window was discovered shattered. Facilities was notified and responded for a temporary repair.

 

Tuesday, September 15th

10:55 a.m. Harassment, Lunt Hall

A student residing in Lunt Hall reported that someone left inappropriate messages on dry erase boards while one suite resident was in the bathroom and the others were away from their rooms.

2:34 p.m. Stalking, Campus

A student reported receiving several unwanted messages from an unknown party via social media. Matter under investigation.

7:07 p.m. Theft, Gummere Hall

A student who filed a Lost Property report for luggage left in storage over the summer earlier in the month requested to report the matter as a theft.  Haverford Police responded to take a theft report.

9:43 p.m. Personal Illness, Stokes Hall

A report was received of a student experiencing a medical condition in the Office of Academic Resources. The student was transported to Bryn Mawr Hospital by ambulance. The Dean on Call and Nurse on Call notified.

 

Wednesday, September 16th

7:39 p.m. Harassment, HCA Trail

A report was received of a male who was taking pictures of women and was harassing them on the HCA Trail. The male was stopped by Campus Safety near the Duck Pond. He claimed to be a Campus Safety Officer. Lower Merion police and Haverford Police responded and identified the male. He was issued a verbal trespass warning and left campus. Safety alert issued.

 

Thursday, September 17th

1:33 p.m. Suspicious Person, Nature Trail

A faculty member reported seeing a suspicious male standing near the Nature Trail. The individual was described as a white male, thin build, about 5’8” tall, wearing a white shirt and black shorts.  He looked like he was wearing a mask.

2:58 p.m. Suspicious Person, College Lane

A suspicious male fitting the description from a prior incident was seen on campus. Lower Merion and Haverford Township Police departments were contacted. The individual was stopped off campus by police. It was determined that the individual was not the person involved in the earlier incident.

7:04 p.m. Suspicious Person, Carter Road

A student reported having a verbal confrontation with a bicyclist while driving on Carter Road.

8:00 p.m. Bicycle Theft, Magill Library

A student reported the theft of her unlocked bicycle from the bike rack near Magill Library. No police report at this time.
