Friday, October 23rd 

1:11 p.m. Personal Illness, Morris Infirmary

A student was transported by ambulance to Bryn Mawr Hospital from Health Services. On Call Dean notified.

11:35 p.m. Alcohol Related Illness, 42 Hannum Drive

A report was received of a student who was suffering from an alcohol related illness in front of 42 Hannum Drive. The Nurse on Call cleared the student to remain on campus while being watched over by a sober friend. The Graduate Assistant was notified.

 

Saturday, October 24th

1:38 a.m. Disturbance, Comfort Hall

Campus Safety was called to Comfort Hall in reference to someone banging on a student’s door. Arriving officers found a disturbance between two suitemates in progress. Individuals were told to separate, go back to their rooms, and to lock their doors. The Graduate Assistant was notified.

2:31 a.m. Alcohol Related Illness, Barclay Hall

A student who asked to speak to the on call nurse was actually inquiring in reference to an alcohol related illness. The nurse asked that Campus Safety respond. The ill student was transported to Bryn Mawr Hospital via ambulance. The Graduate Assistant was notified.

4:55 p.m. Personal Injury, Featherbed Field

A student from the University of Pennsylvania was transported by ambulance to Bryn Mawr Hospital after falling and injuring a wrist during the Ultimate Frisbee Tournament.

 

Sunday, October 25th

12:02 a.m. Alcohol Related Illness, Gummere Hall

A student suffering from an alcohol related illness at Gummere Hall was transported to Bryn Mawr Hospital for treatment. The Nurse on Call and Graduate Assistant were notified.

1:15 a.m. Suspicious Activity, Duck Pond

Two non-student guests were observed running naked in the area of the Duck Pond. They were determined to be the guests of students at Barclay Hall. They were reunited with their hosts.

2:54 a.m. Fire Alarm, Sharpless Hall

An officer observed smoke in Sharpless Hall. The Fire Department and Safety Director were notified and responded. The smoke was determined to have been caused by a malfunctioning compressor. On-call Facilities personnel were notified and responded. The compressor was shut down.

 

Tuesday, October 27th

7:15 a.m. Motor Vehicle Theft, 11 Hannum Drive

A student reported the theft of a small motorized “pocket bike” from a bike rack near 11 Hannum Drive. A report was filed with Haverford Township Police Department.

 

Wednesday, October 28th

8:05 p.m. Animal Matter, Barclay Hall

A report was received of a bat in Barclay Hall. A Facilities employee was notified, who responded and removed the bat.

 

Thursday, October 29th

2:10 p.m. Personal Injury, Walton Road

A student reported that she was struck by a vehicle earlier in the day, injuring her arm. The student was advised to report the issue to Health Services. Investigation ongoing.
