1:54 p.m. Personal Injury GIAC
A student fell and injured her knee while playing volleyball in the gym. The student was transported to Bryn Mawr Hospital by Llanerch Ambulance. The Nurse on Call and Dean on Call were notified.
6:57 p.m. Safety Hazard Link
A large bee hive was located in a tree near the Running Man Statue next to the Link. Officers taped off the area and Facilities was notified.
Sunday, September 1st
12:45 a.m. Alcohol Illness Visitor’s Lot
A report was received a female student who appeared to be intoxicated in the Visitor Lot. Officers followed student to Leeds Hall. The Nurse on Call was notified and contacted the student. The student was permitted to stay on campus. The Dean on Call was notified.
6:27 a.m. Noise Complaint 812 Ardmore Ave
A tenant in 812 Ardmore Ave. reported loud noises coming from the second floor. Officers found that the tenant was walking back and forth while getting ready for work.
Monday, September 2nd
1:51 p.m. Property Damage Campus Center
The chimney on the north end of the Campus Center was struck by lightning causing debris to fall to the ground. The Campus Safety Director, the Safety Director, and Facilities were contacted. The area was taped off and a message was sent to the community.
4:58 p.m. Suspicious Person Kim Hall
A student reported seeing an unfamiliar person exit Kim Hall and proceed to Barclay Hall. The person had been seen earlier at 42 Hannum Dr. The individual had informed the reporting person that he was delivering menus. Incident occurred about a half hour prior to it being reported to Campus Safety.
4:58 p.m. Personal Injury Coursey Road
A student injured himself when he fell from his skateboard on Coursey Rd. He was transported to Bryn Mawr Hospital with minor injuries. Dean and Nurse on call were advised.
Tuesday, September 3rd
5:11 p.m. Unauthorized Use Swan Field
A child climbed into the observation tower at Swan Field and got stuck inside. He was unable to get out. Officer requested assistance from members from the Men’s Rugby Team, who removed the child from the tower. The child was unharmed.
5:50 p.m. Suspicious Person Comfort Hall
A student reported that an unknown person entered Comfort Hall and went to the third floor. The individual had been standing behind the door. Officers checked the building but did not find the individual.
Thursday, September 5th
10:05 a.m. Safety Hazard Stokes Hall
Staff member was stuck briefly in elevator and freed by Officer. Elevator placed out of service awaiting inspection.
