From the Archives: An ‘Unusual’ New Dining Hall

Ever wonder where the DC came from? In 1967, most meals were served in Founders Hall, which could only seat 250 people and was becoming very crowded as college enrollment approached 700 students. An anonymous donor gave $1.6 million (worth about $11.4 million today) to the college to be used for an “unusual” new dining hall which would accommodate the growing student body…
