Campus Safety Brief, 5/14/21 – 5/20/21

Friday, May 14th

10:41 p.m.                         Noise Complaint Drinker

An off campus resident reported loud noise coming from Featherbed Lane. Students attending a gathering behind Drinker Hall at the tent were advised of the complaint and they turned the volume of the music down.

10:55 p.m.                         Alcohol Related Illness Tritton Hall

A report was received of a student who consumed too much alcohol lying outside Tritton. The student was transported to Bryn Mawr Hospital after speaking to officers and the on call EMT. Health Services and the Dean on Call were notified.

Saturday, May 15th

12:00 a.m.                         Personal Injury Founders Hall

A report was received of student outside Founders who had injured her shoulder. The student spoke to officers and EMT and was then transported to Bryn Mawr Hospital by another student. Health Services and the Dean on Call were notified.

12:44 a.m.                         COVID Complaint 19 Hannum Drive

A report was received of a group of students seen entering the basement of HCA 19 without masks on. Officer spoke with about 11 students at that location and reminded them to wear masks.

12:55 a.m.                         Noise Complaint HCA

Neighbors at Haverford Village Apartments called to complain of noise coming from HCA. Officer checked the area and found no noise. Call was possibly due to students being outside during a fire alarm in area.

7:35 p.m.                         Noise Complaint Founders Green

A resident called to complain about the volume of the music on Founders Green.  Event organizers were made aware.

9:06 p.m.                         Alcohol Related Illness Founders Green

A report was received of an intoxicated student on Founders Green.  The student was evaluated and transported Bryn Mawr Hospital by Narberth Ambulance.  The Dean on Call was notified.

10:46 p.m.                         Alcohol Related Illness Lloyd Hall

A report of an intoxicated student in Lloyd Hall.  The student was evaluated by the EMT and it was determined that she could remain on campus.

10:55 p.m.                         Alcohol Related Illness VCAM

Campus Safety observed an intoxicated female in front of the VCAM.  Medical Personnel evaluated the Bryn Mawr student.  It was determined that she could return to Bryn Mawr College. 

10:55 p.m.                         Alcohol Related Illness Gummere Hall

A report was received of a student who was intoxicated at the bike shack by Gummere.  An ambulance was requested. The student was transported to Bryn Mawr Hospital.  Dean on call was notified.

Monday, May 17th

12:20 a.m.                         Noise/COVID Complaint 19 Hannum Drive

A student called to complain of loud noise from HCA 19. Campus Safety officers arrived on location and found a large number of approximately 50 students in the basement of HCA 19. The students were unmasked and not practicing social distancing. Students dispersed upon arrival of Campus Safety officers, who would not enter the area due to conditions. 

7:14 p.m.                         Suspicious Persons Kim Hall

A group of four juveniles were making prank phone calls to Campus Safety using the Emergency Call phones. The juveniles eventually fled from campus. 

Wednesday, May 19th

8:45 p.m.                         Suspicious Person County Line Road

A student reported a male on County Line Road looking at the apartments with binoculars.  Campus Safety reported the male was a Haverford student assisting another student with a performance art project at 46 HCA.

9:43 p.m.                         Noise Complaint Kim Hall

A complaint was received of loud music coming from the tent behind 15 Hannum Drive. Officer advised the students of the complaint and they turned down the volume of the music.
