Campus Safety Brief, 4/23/21 – 4/30/21

Friday, April 23rd

3:59 p.m.                         Animal Matter GIAC 

A student reported a fox running behind the GIAC toward the Soccer field. Campus Safety was unable to locate the fox. The student was advised that it wasn’t uncommon to see a fox during daylight hours.

Saturday, April 24th

12:23 a.m.                         Noise Complaint         18 Hannum Drive

A Student called to complain of loud noise in the outside area of HCA 18. The HCA Campus Safety officer observed 3 to 5 students outside of HCA 18; they were asked to lower their voices and complied with the request. Masks and social distancing was observed.

1:23 p.m.                         Unauthorized Use Duck Pond

An anonymous caller notified Campus Safety of two individuals with an unleashed dog parked on the sidewalk in the area of the Duck Pond.  Individuals did not belong on campus.  Area was searched with negative results.

4:46 p.m.                         Unauthorized Use Visitor’s Lot

Campus Safety found two youths walking on top of the trailers while making his security check.  They ran onto County Line Rd. after seeing officers.  Sgt. Conner advised the youths, after they had come back to the area a second time, that the police would be called if they came back again.

6:58 p.m.                         Unauthorized Use Visitor’s Lot

A report was received of a group of youths on the rooftops of the trailers. HTPD was contacted for assistance as this was the third time that kids were on top of or around the trailers. One individual was taken into custody by police.

11:33 p.m. Notification Lloyd Hall

Officer reported large gathering of approximately 200 Students on Lloyd Green. Officers were able to break the gathering into smaller groups; several students left the area. Everyone was masked.

Thursday, April 29th

5:00 p.m.                       COVID Complaint Coursey Road

A report was received of a man walking along Coursey Road without a mask.  Campus Safety checked the area but was unable to locate the person.

6:41 p.m.                         Medical Transport Lloyd Hall

A student was transported from Lloyd Hall to Bryn Mawr Hospital by ambulance after suffering an allergic reaction.  The Dean’s Office and Health Services was notified.
